Nokia X7 official

x7

Nokia has announced the Nokia X7, a Symbian-powered slate-style phone with a few new features to tout courtesy of a new version of Symbian they’re calling Anna: a proper portrait QWERTY keyboard and improved browser chief among them. This being Nokia, it’s no surprise that the new features take a backseat to the incredible hardware.

  • 119.7 x 62.8 x 11.9 mm
  • 146 g
  • 4″, 640×350 AMOLED touch display
  • 1300mAh battery good for 4 and a half hours of talktime
  • 8mp camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording
  • 680MHz CPU
  • 256mg RAM / 1G ROM
  • 8bg microSD included

Nokia would like you to know that they expect this to be an “entertainment-focused” device and so they’re preloading it with Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD.

All symbian phones are ok…also that new X7 just like my old X6. I really hope that Nokia should never get rid completely from symbian because i am afraid for that new Nokia-windows phone. I mean how people is taking that new os. Its not just so simple to calculate like they have done. Nokia have very huge market around the world….BUT they have done it with their OWN os system !
Markets have allready react to that coming nokia-windows phone and it sounds not good.
Microsoft/americans can not stand to see that some big brand is coming from outside world and not from US.
As i said i really hope Nokia is going to still keep symbian as alive just because IF nokia-wp fails.
Microsoft is like Gaddafi in Libya…they/he just refuse to respect the world outside their own region.

….incredible hardware? Maybe incredible for a phone announced Q1 2009. 256MB ram? Really? 680MHZ CPU? I’m sure the camera is nice and the phone probably feels excellent in hand, but announcing phones like this proves to me why Nokia has become a tiny name here in the US. In response to the comment above, it has nothing to do with the fact that Nokia isn’t American. HTC is Taiwanese for heaven’s sake. Samsung is Korean. Apple is American but made in China. Nokia’s problem is not that it’s not American but that they are in their own world.
