I've not seen the N97 up close and personal but would echo the review. The keyboard on the touch pro 2 is excellent and the screen is simply awesome (far better than the iPhone 2.0 which I just switched from). In respect of the inconstencies between winMo 6.1 and TouchFlo, I can understand anyones concerns but I think once you've got used to how to access underlying winmo from Touchflo for more complex actions, its not too much hassle. The conferencing facility with dual speakers / microphones works extraordinarily well and I haven't experienced the problems some others have of a slight echo at higher volumes. My only gripe is that the power button has been moved to the other side from the HTC TyTN 2 (the previous most similar phone to this in HTCs lineup with a foldup screen) and is now more sensitive. This means that it has a tendency to switch the phone on in your pocket and more importantly, when holding the phone in the horizontal position, your left finger has a tendency to switch the screen off as you're typing. This is happening less and less though as I get used to using it. The upshot is, awesome phone, which I would definitely recommend to anyone!

The Nokia N97's keyboard kills it for me. I'd go with the Touch Pro 2 since its keyboard is near perfection. The N97's hinge mechanism was poorly thought out as it leaves very little space for the keyboard despite the fact that its a wide phone when turned horizontal....to add insult to injury the layout is rubbish.
