We are still waiting for some Nokia N900 deals, despite being promised some sort of release info regarding contracts since November. Is there any hope for anyone other than lucky early adopters getting a glimpse of the Nokia N900's mobile computer love? Any word of an official release, in terms of simply going into a store and buying one?

Very slack nokia ! No WCDMA/UMTS 850mhz ! shame shame shame. The only network I have available here and the N900 won’t accept it. A disappointed die hard nokia fan.

My god, and Nokia is saying they will allow root access without the need to jailbreak. This is a game changer folks. Apple is pretty much done at this point if Nokia can get this thing into our market in the next little while.

nokia needs to get this subsidized on att (or verizon but let’s stick with gsm) – they can’t expect to sell this in bulk unlocked at $700. T-mob won’t be enough. C’mon nokia – complete the deal: you’ve done a great technical job, now have it make business sense!
