@Brian: The E71 is FP1, but is listed as not supported, so I'm not sure if that's the cause. Maybe the landscape display is the issue?

@Thorston: 2.0 megapixel doesn't mean low quality. I've printed 8x10s from my compact Sony Cybershot U50 in ideal lighting conditions. It's 20 times the camera my 3.2 megapixel camera is on my E71. And for what this app does, 2.0 megapixel still far exceeds the display resolution of Nokia phones. That means that the Magnifier effect will still work.

I have yet no need for this application because of the low camera capability of my N81 8GB with its (only) 2mp s sensor.

Doesn’t work on N95-3. It says “Lens cover closed”. So not only do I not get to try the app, I also get reminded that I don’t have a lens cover.

3rd Edition FP2 uses the standard Symbian auto-focus API, wherewas pre-FP2 devices used a proprietary autofocus API. It seems they are trying to use the old auto-focus API on all phones and that is why it isn't working on those newer ones (including my N78). It should be an easy fix for Nokia since they themselves already have published example autofocus code for FP2.

One thing that was interesting about my N78: It claimed I already had Nokia Magnifier 2.0 installed and asked me to replace it with this version (0.86 IIRC). Maybe they are re-using the UID of another project.
