I have the Nokia E71x with Ovi Maps 3.03 and it works fine with voice navigation (even installed other languages too). I would recommend getting 2.0, then 3.0, then 3.03 (use the Nokia 6760 slide version found on the Nokia website as indicated by other users)

I have a e71x and cant get any sound to work on the ovi maps iit says i have 2 dif voice files on phone,but i cant hear anything. What can i do???

Has anyone been able to get the new (and completely free) Ovi Maps installed onto the phone? There is a version released for the E72 (which is also Feature Pack 2) and it would be nice to get that one installed on the E71x because of the free voice and walking navigation.

Also, just running Nokia or Ovi maps does not cost anything, and does not require a data plan because you can load the maps onto the memory card using your computer. The search functionality and downloading over the air will use data, so that cost would have to be absorbed by whatever plan you have chosen.

Doesn't AT&T force the E71x to get some sort of data plan with service? I thought they had classified it as a smartphone.

I’ve downloaded the maps but when I try to run it it gives me a message “Not enough memory to run the application” I do have a memory card. Any suggestions what to clean? (I don’t get this message with any other application

If you are running Nokia Maps it will not cost anything to use. The phone is actually a GPS receiver so it does not need to connect to the network. As far as connecting to the store, I have only seen this when you are using navagation, or trying to drive a route. Hopefully someone will chime in if there is a work around for this.

Downloaded the updater, but everytime I try to run says that it is already running another version.
