In June my Wife and I went to Hawaii for a couple weeks of relaxation. On top of the everyday usefulness that my E71x with AT&T Navigator provided, here are 3 reasons why it proved invaluable.

My AT&T Navigator came in handy almost immediately when we hit the ground. Our rental car company was not actually on the airport grounds so we had to take a shuttle to get there. I knew since we weren’t actually at the airport that when it came time to return the car I wouldn’t be able to follow the Rental Car Return signs. So just before we left the car lot I grabbed my Nokia E1x and fired up the AT&T Navigator. I saved my current location, that way when it was time to catch our departure flight back home I wouldn’t be driving around in circles trying to find the rental car place. This especially came in handy since I always seem to be running late when it comes to catching a flight.

The next reason Navigator came in handy. We were in a store that didn’t have what we where looking for. The manager gave us directions to another store, the typical left here go up a mile or 2, turn right at the light, left again, then another right, etc. etc. Well when you carry AT&T Navigator in your pocket there is no reason to try and remember all those lefts and rights. You just get the Name of the business, type it in and right to the front door you go.

And lastly it came in handy because I didn’t have to pack and drag along our old overweight Garmin with the oversized power cord nor did I have to spend over $10 a day renting one.

I live in LA and I just moved here. The GPS system is A HUGE help to me, finding places, getting around traffic. It's crucial.

I would like to enter for the free year of AT&T Navigator service. I purchased my E71x the day it was released. After my E62, this has been a nice upgrade and does everything I have asked from it. For my work, I am regularly driving through the greater Los Angeles area often putting 150 miles or more in a day. It may not sound like a lot to some, but these are ALL in traffic miles. When I used the 30 day trial of the Navigator service, it was a relief to have the freedom of working around traffic without missing a key road to my next appointment.

When I'm not working my free time is for me and the AT&T Navigator still helps. My girlfriend and I enjoy road trips and like to travel the CA coast. The Navigator helps us find little out of the way places where we can eat, explore, and enjoy the time away.

Thank you so much for this opportunity! I recently acquired my Nokia E71x after using a Nokia 3600 for the last 5.5 years. I loved that phone, but it was time to upgrade. While I have installed google maps to my phone, I find I prefer using the AT&T Navigator. However, my 30 day trial is coming to a close, and being on a college student's budget, I'll be canceling everything extra, including the data plan (I'm so grateful for the wifi capabilities!).

Anyway, long story short, I put about 800 miles on my car a week commuting to school and work. While that will be tapering shortly, I do end up visiting friends all over Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and after my sister's recent move, New York. The GPS has come in extremely handy in the last month's worth of travels, and as I go on job interviews in the next few months, it will continue to be useful. Also, I will be driving out to Texas (1600+ miles) at some point in the next year to visit a close friend and her new daughter, as well as a few other friends in that region. The last time I was out there, I took an early exit because of poor directions and ended up in the red light district of Dallas...for a young lass, that was a bit uncomfortable.

Anyway, thank you again for this opportunity! I've found your E71x articles extremely useful in making the appropriate tweaks to my phone, and I look forward to continued posts.

Cheers!
~ Elizabeth

I unfortunately don't have an E71, so I am not eligible, but this is a really great app. I've been using it for about 3 years, and when combined with Bing (formerly Windows Live Search), its nearly unbeatable.

Good luck to those that are eligible! YOu're going to love AT&T Navigator!
