Nokia announces 5630 XM with 600MHz processor
I have been enjoying my blue Nokia 5800 and have decided to keep my eye on the XpressMusic devices and other Nokia devices rather than just focus on the Eseries and Nseries. Today Nokia announced the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic device with a speedy 600 MHz processor. The device is not a full screen touch device like the 5800, but it does run S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2.
Other specifications include:
- GSM radio with HSDPA & HSUPA support
- WiFi
- Bluetooth w/ A2DP stereo support
- FM radio
- 3.5mm headset jack
- 3.2 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash
- microSD card slot (4GB card included)
- Nokia N-Gage compatible
It is scheduled for availability in the second quarter of 2009 for 199 Euros. It is interesting that Nokia is making this announcement one week before Mobile World Congress and leads me to believe they have plenty up their sleeves for next week and need to get some news out in advance.

Yes, it has WiFi. No GPS though (google maps seems not too bad in general with cell tower location). With all it’s other features this handset appears a good value for the price.
