Hi, I am really interested in the Hava player, is it working well on 5800? Did you experience setup issues? Can you configure the virtual remote control to work with complex appliances like satellite decoders with integrated recorder using all the functions available on the actual remote control?

Sorry to bother you with so many questions, but really it is hard to find reliable first hand information about Hava on Nokia 5800

I have a new nokia 5800 from australia I am trying to use my att sim card everything works fine but I cant use the internet unless I’m in a wifi area I can’t get the right browser setting for medianet any idea’s ?

Hey, I just started to use a Nokia 5800 a month ago and everything was fine. Recently I changed my cell number and noticed that the voicemail box is not available any more. Both my old and new numbers are AT&T. I called them and was told that since my phone is not a AT&T phone, the voicemail box will not be working any more. Anybody got same problem? But how come my old number worked on the same phone? Please email me at ytliu@gmail.com if you know something. Thanks!

I pay AT&T for up to 5GB of data per month so I should be just fine.

I have an AT&T $30 plan for my HTC Fuze and just pop that SIM in my 5800. An iPhone SIM should work too and I believe these plans are the same price. The iPhone data plan does have a funky voicemail part so you may get strange text messages appearing that normally go to visual voicemail. I used my older iPhone SIM with other devices with no problems in the past.

I plan to use Qik on the 5800 at CTIA this week too.

O.k So if I were to take my Sim card with an iphone plan that i have original and say get an N82 or a 5800 do I have to let ATT know that I have done this or change my plan? Because I would like to use Qik and surf the net so i’m wondering if this would be part of the more expensive plan. Thanks Brian

brian, too add to my post, now that I think about it, the 5800 is a lot like the LG Vu to the untrained eye, so AT&T wouldn’t likely make you get the smartphone data plan since it has no qwerty (iPhone being the exception).

brian, since it’s an unlocked phone, AT&T does know what type of phone the sim card is in. So, the $15/mo should work. That’s what I’m doing on my E71. AT&T thinks I have a Motorola RAZR V3 still.

Do you have to add a 30 dollar data plan with that phone or the 15 dollar one from ATT?? Just wondering?
