First impressions of the Nokia E72 appear on Mobile-Review
I met Eldar from Mobile-Review a couple of years ago at a Mobius event and enjoyed his company. I still don’t understand how he does it, but he gets the opportunity to get hands on mobile phones months before anyone else in the world. Thankfully, he does a super job at posting first impressions and full reviews and sharing all the details with everyone who wants to check out these devices. I just found in my RSS feeds that he posted a pretty detailed first impressions article of the upcoming Nokia E72 (Google translated page) and I am even more excited than ever before now as I have recently been using and still loving my Nokia E71.
I like where he starts out by stating, “By the summer of 2009, Nokia E71 has become the most sold in the world of QWERTY-device, no single device has not been able to catch up with this device from Nokia to run.” Did anyone here happen to read my King of the QWERTYs articles over on my ZDNet site where I awarded the Nokia E71x the top dog of the three devices I compared.
The updated processor, camera, 3.5mm headset jack, and update to Feature Pack 2 are pretty compelling. I also read that you can assign shortcuts to the keyboard and hope that wasn’t something lost in translation. I also read that the full version of QuickOffice is included and not only the reader.
The E72 seems to be the QWERTY to beat this Fall and I can’t wait to get some hands-on time with it.
