Google Mobile App now available for Nokia S60 devices
Google has been rolling out their Google Mobile App for smartphones for the last few months and I was pleased to read on the Google Mobile blog that it is now available for the S60 platform. I installed it successfully on my Nokia E71x and the small pop-up appears just fine. You need to press the back arrow key to launch the Google Mobile App as long as it is running in the background.
The Google Mobile App gives you instant access to search, Google Suggest and search history, and easy access to other products like Gmail, Google Maps, and more.

I don’t see why this would be a useful app…someone care to explain?

Google Sync for S60: http://www.google.com/mobile/nokia_smart/sync.html
As to why it’s useful…It’s more of a convenience thing. It consolidates all of the Google shortcuts/program icons that I use into one place, it’s immediately accessible from the home screen and provides quick location based search.
