Detailed Nokia N900 review confirms it is a beauty

Needless to say I am pretty excited about both the N900 release and Nokia N97 firmware update that should both be coming in October. My Symbian was lucky enough to get their hands on the Nokia N900 for a significant amount of time and posted a very detailed 4-page review that I highly recommend you check out. There are a ton of screenshots and photos of the device and Michal really set the bar high for reviewers with this comprehensive look at the device.

You need to read through all the details, but here is part of his conclusion:

Even now, at the previewed unit’s early development stage, the N900 truly impressed me with its FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE, STABILITY (it was really ROCK STABLE, take my word), BEAUTIFUL and ADVANCED user interface, very high quality and full integration of TELEPHONY and INTERNET CONNECTIVITY, fast and powerful web browser, great support for VoIP (especially Skype), high quality camera and video recording and, actually, ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE. I don’t remember being that excited with any mobile device since the first Nokia Communicators and UIQ 2 phones.

Wow Michal, you just made my wait for the N900 even more difficult now.

Any date yet for release? The rumor of it being shipped on the 27th of this month to retailers obviously didnt pan out

The only way the Leo will be doing any killing is if you install another OS on it.

Release:
The phone will be out within 2-3 weeks here in Switzerland, with a retail price of 800 Swiss Franks, which is 527 Euros, or 781 Dollars.

And I suppose it will be the same for most countries, maybe earlier or a bit later, but surely not longer than end of October or the first week in November.

N900 is the future of technology. Don’t bother convincing yourself about another device and stick with Nokia.

seems like a lot of website are giving good reviews and a lot of the actual users are giving it bad reviews. i got 2 one for me and my wife at gsmallover.com and i love it, because I don’t mind heavier phones, but my wife isn’t a big fan. I love the keypad it’s very simple, but the touch screen bothers me sometimes. I used to have an iphone so it’s hard to be that for convenience. anyways I think im going to keep my two. good luck!
