Deal Alert: Pre-order a Nokia N97 for less than $500

nokia-n97-white-2

I just read over on Engadget Mobile that the Nokia USA store is running a sale on the pre-order for the Nokia N97. The full price is $699, but right now you can add it to your shopping card and add the coupon code CARTP409N to get it for less than $500, before tax and shipping. I was debating about this device, but couldn’t pass up this deal and my total with tax and shipping was something like $515. I have my doubts about whether or not this deal will stick or if it is some kind of pricing error on the store, but just had to place my order.

You also get a BH-703 Bluetooth headset thrown into the package for free ($89.95 value).

If it is legit, then you can rest assured I will post a review with lots of my thoughts on the device when my white Nokia N97 arrives.

Whew, I’m glad you’re up and reading your feeds! You have some serious tax in Washington huh?! My total order was just $492 and change (I went with Black)!!!!

Based on some “tests” I ran last night, it looks like the site is deducting 25% off all phone purchases automatically when you add them to the cart. Adding the code adds another 10%.

I just purchased a black one for less than $500 including tax. What a great deal on an unlocked phone. When it arrives it will join my iphone 3g and BB Bold.

Matt – hopefully some good news:

Just got off the phone with a Nokia Care rep and he indicated that indeed a glitch in the system, but that Nokia would honor the order at the price indicated (N97 – $487 incl. tax & shipping).

That would be awesome! Finally early adopters and enthusiasts would get a deal rather than always paying a premium price to have the device and “beta test” it for manufacturers ;)

I suppose we should find out sometime in June, huh?

Guess y’all got in there early enough. The savings for me was a mere $68, so I’ll go back to debating on whether I want an E75 or an N97.

Hey, the deal seems to not work from here, I have only $70 in savings, and the price is $629 from $699.

This is related to the fact Nokia had yesterday, “Family and Friends day” at the Flagship Stores. All things between 10% and 30% with some demo phones up to 70%. Someone wrote: It was great. I picked up the new Nokia BH-214 Stereo BT Headset. I also got an E75. You will not believe the price.

I jumped on it like a tiger on a deer! Again I’m a paying beta tester, but this time at a much lower price.

Engi – let me guess – ~25% off? Your info makes more sense out of what happened. Sounds like their ecommerce system got its wires crossed with the Flagship discount and was extending it to all the phones on the online store. Lucky us. ;)

I missed out on the deal !!!!!! ugggghhhh I can’t wait to get rid of the stupid BB Storm I bought earlier.

My first cell phone was a Nokia and I have always loved Nokias. They are overalll well built.

Do you guys think… the deals gonna come back? or Should I just cough the 650 something!!!!
