Deal Alert: Nokia N900 at Amazon for $590

A Twitter buddy, Brettq, alerted me to a deal over on Amazon for the Nokia N900 preorder for $588.99. FYI, this is an affiliate link for Ricky’s Maemo Guru site so I hope he appreciates my hefty order :) I already pre-ordered through the Nokia USA site for $649, but just canceled and ordered through Amazon because it ended up saving me something like $60. I pay tax at both stores so that is why there was this difference in cost. I also had shipping costs, but in the end a $60 savings is well worth it. There is rumors that we may see this ship out before the end of the month so let’s hope this is true.

who cares about the bluetooth. after you add tax and everything from nokia, it ends up being 700.00 you are saving about 120.00 if you change the 4.99 shipping to super savings shipping on amazon. go buy a 35.00 bluetooth from a store and still save 85 bucks. no brainer here

Just canceled with Nokia (no prob) and pre-ordered with Amazon. I’m saving $112!

September 22, 2009

The Nokia USA says that the N900 works on 900/1700/2100 frequencies for 3G, but the Amazon page says that it works on 850/1900/2100.
Which one’s the right frequency for the N900 sold in the US??

I confirmed with Nokia that Amazon is incorrect. There is currently no 850/1900 MHz version of the N900.

September 22, 2009

and which is why the question was raised, is there gonna be another version for AT&T (WCDMA 850/1900/2100)?

moreso, the NokiaUSA website says “optimized for WCDMA 900/1700/2100”, which simply shows its for T-Mobile for data connection using HSPA.

I ordered it in Oregon and we have no Sales tax here :0. So all I paid is $649 with free shipping and the bluetooth.
Sweet deal I might add.
