Congratulations to our Nokia Experts Launch Contest winners!
The Nokia Experts Launch Contest is over and we had over 850 total valid entries over the 5 week period. Most entries were Twitter followers, with the fewest entries (47) coming in week 4 when I asked for your photos. I made you work a bit for the final week’s entries and by far the hardest question was what my first S60 device was. It was a Nokia 3650 and not the 7610 that many people put down. I also am a ship designer/naval architect in my real day job and am not a Nokia employee, police sergeant, or full time writer on mobile technology. Finally, I served for 12 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and was not in the Marines.
Thank you to all for entering over these last five weeks. You provided a ton of great questions and ideas in week two and I plan to use many of your responses to provide you with some tips & tricks, guides, and my experiences over the last few years of using S60 devices.
Now let’s get to our winners. I totaled and listed all valid entries and then put the total into the number generator at Random.org to find our two winners.

The first winner, who gets the Nokia N85 prize pack, was from week three and is Brad Barbaza. Brad actually had his week five entry thrown out because of the 7610 answer, but still was lucky enough to win the first prize package.The second prize winner, who gets the Nokia E71 prize pack, was from week one and is alohatech (Twitter name). In addition to the devices, the final prize packages include an 8GB microSD card (actually two for the N85 winner since one comes in the N85 package), 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for the E71 winner, and full licenses to the following software titles for the winners:

Good contest,but..
it’s kind of funny. Weren’t you supposed to answer ALL questions correctly to be in the running to win? I know I answered all including the last one (which was answered by 47), and I’d feel good not winning but having my name along with others posted on the site. What was the point of 5 questions if they were to be considered as a random entry each? Why not then ballot amongst the registered members rather than posing questions?
Not a rant or anything, just saying…
I think you misunderstand. Each week we held a contest that gave you a chance to earn an entry so if you entered every week you had 5 chances to win the contest. You didn’t have to enter every week and by so doing you just increased your chances of winning. However, you could have just followed us on Twitter in week 1 and had a single chance of winning.
