try to use symbianfoursquare i used it on my regular n97 and i enjoy it. but there is allot of bit issues but it's acceptable to have on my phone. hope it helps. ^^,

*example is you need to always login (like fb app you are always auto login) *in defining the settings like location preference ( there is two buttons gps and cell id) hope if you choose the other one next time you login again your settings are saved the way you wanted it but instead it always go back to default settings.

I started using Waze on my Nokia 5230 two days back. Waze is not very useful otherwise for my location because there are hardly any roads defined. I have started constructing roads, though.

The foursquare integration is there but I am not very happy with it. First thing: It does not confirm a check-in. Sometimes, when you click a venue by mistake, it automatically checks in. Next, there is no way to add a venue, as far as I saw.

I am still using it but I am hoping for updates that at least fix these issues or another app.

Ricky: you've have noticed I commented on you SG article on waze and I frequently read way too many Symbian blogs.

As I said there, its not worth the bother on the N97. The application is too half-baked for the reasons I previously identified to even bother with.

Thanks for the link, Matt! You should definitely give Waze a run - it's actually better on Symbian than it is on my HTC Eris, which is nice to see. The voice nav needs a bit of work, but the pacman-type experience makes it fun and the traffic notifications are extremely useful.

They've also got some cool updates coming soon, as well, that'll make it even better.
