Blue Nokia 5800 arrived, package has everything you need

I’m tempted.. but I’m trying to hold out for the US 3g version (i know you’re on T-mobile and it doesn’t matter) I’m hoping an announcement for the NAM version soon. Any inside info?

I was going to hold out too, but since I have an E71 with my AT&T SIM I didn’t care if this one didn’t have 3G because I wanted to mainly use it with my T-Mobile SIM.

I have asked about a NAM 5800, but no one apparently knows when it will be released. I figured I would get this one now and a N97 when it comes, probably in the Summer time frame.

What do you mean by my fingers Stefan? I am an engineer so work behind a desk most of the time so my hands don’t get trashed.

I think I’ll buy this device. It’s quite cheap.

1st off, Welcome Matt. Always great to have a new Nokia/Symbian site open up.

I’m a little confused though. Is that 5800 in the pictures a NAM version, or do the Euro ones work in the US? Do you lose the 3g by having a Euro spec phone? I ask because the charger is a UK one, so is that phone Euro?

This is the Euro version and there is no word yet on when the NAM version will come out. It works just fine with both AT&T and T-Mobile with the EDGE data network. I do lose 3G, but with my T-Mobile SIM that is irrelevant anyways.

Do let us know what you think of the device. The truth is there are quite a few good reviews out that got me excited, but playing around with one a couple of days ago, I wasn’t convinced… truth is that a device has to grow on you a little, but it was particularly the resistive touch screen that I didn’t like a lot.

not happy with my mobile phone..im not really a techie type but i know that this phone does not work for me anymore.while i was capturing happy videos of my friends it suddenly stopped and it did this blurry thing like it was about to breakdown (like the one you see on mobile phone LCD when its about to crack.)
